I was just listening to Leo Laporte and Amber MacArthur on Net at Nite episode 85 (net@night) and Leo mentioned this weird video…. but didn’t put a link in the show notes! Man, that drives me crazy! Anyway, in case you are searching for this same video, here it is. Looks like the Google Maps van/truck hit a baby deer during one of their mapping missions… and photographed it for all to see!  The incident happened at Five Points Road in Rush, NY.  Looks like they did pull off to the side of the road though.  See it on Google Street View here…

We’ve all heard how bad the economy is, but this story should paint a clearer picture.

The picture to the left came from a reader and property manager in Virginia who posted an opening for a part time receptionist.

Perhaps this can become a new metric to gauge how bad the employment situation is, how many resumes a 12-hour receptionist-job posting on Craigslist receives in a 24-hour period.

I’ve noticed in the last few days that my follower count has dramatically slowed down on Twitter.  I saw a tweet from Leo Laporte where he seemed to confirm that Twitter’s infastrucure was trembling.  I swung over to Twitter Counter and checked out some other popular users and all appear to have flatlined.  Has anyone else noticed this?
